John started his career in wealth management in 2000 with Lloyds Private Banking, and prior to establishing Modus was an Executive Director at Coutts where he led the wealth management business in the North-West. In addition to his leadership responsibilities, John managed a small number of high and ultra-high net worth private clients and business owners whom he advised on all aspects of wealth management and financial planning, from investing to retirement and intergenerational tax planning. John’s focus is developing long-term trusted client relationships founded upon on a deep understanding of their goals and concerns together with expert advice and great service.
Neil joined the financial services industry in 1989 and in addition to being a Chartered Wealth Manager, he is also a Chartered Financial Planner. Prior to joining Modus Wealth Management, Neil was an Executive Director at Coutts responsible for all Pension and Inheritance Tax Planning Advice in the North West as well as running a team of Financial Advisers across the North of England. Other roles included helping to set up Gerrard Financial Planning and transitioning it across to Barclays Wealth following Barclays acquisition of the Gerrard Business. Neil was also a founding director of a National Accountancy business having responsibility for all their UK offices outside London.
Andrew started his career in financial services in 1989, originally as a Wills, Estates and Trust adviser for Barclays before moving into Private Banking and Wealth Management in 2000. Andrew has worked for a number of large wealth managers including Lloyds Mayfair and UBS. In 2010, Andrew moved to Coutts where he was a wealth manager, managing and advising high and ultra- high net worth clients on all aspects of wealth management and financial planning. Andrew’s experience of investment and succession planning has been an integral part of his career and ensures his clients benefit from a holistic advisory approach.
Andrew is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment.
After qualifying as a Chartered Accountant with KPMG in Manchester, Laverne joined the Co-operative Insurance Society as an investment analyst advising fund managers on equity investments prior to heading up the ethical investment unit from inception and managing a small team. Following a move into corporate banking she became involved in the provision of debt finance for a number of private equity deals before becoming a large corporate relationship director at RBS Bank plc. Due to her financial services experience, Laverne is able to provide holistic advice in wealth management and all aspects of financial planning for a wide spectrum of clients. Laverne lives and works in the Manchester region and is a qualified member of the Personal Finance Society.
James has worked in financial services for over 10 years, starting as a mortgage administrator before gaining the CeMAP qualification and becoming a mortgage adviser. James then moved into contracting, leading customer service teams charged with investigating and resolving pensions and banking-related complaints. It was here where James developed his passion for delivering the best outcomes for clients.
Having joined Modus in 2019 James is currently studying towards his Diploma in Financial Planning, after which he aims to use his skills and knowledge to help clients and their families ensure their financial well-being and plan for their futures.
Dawn joined Rensburg & Co in 1986 working in the settlements team at the time of ‘Big Bang’ when the financial services industry moved from a trading floor to electronic processing. After several promotions, she moved to the newly created Marketing Team to help develop a marketing strategy for the company which was going through a number of takeovers and mergers to eventually become Investec Wealth & Investment. From a standing start, Dawn helped to build the company’s presence locally and nationally, managing several sites around the UK. Dawn started a new position in early 2019 working for Modus Wealth Management in a wide ranging and varied role that encompassed managing the administration team, managing the office and developing a marketing and brand strategy for the business.
Chris has worked in the Financial Services industry since 1982 after starting his career with Legal and General as an administrator. Since then he has passed the Financial Planning Certificate and held various advisory positions at major banks and building societies. In 2011 he joined Newlyn Financial Management Limited as a Personal Assistant and Practice Manager before joining Modus Wealth Management in April 2018. Chris supports the Partners and Advisers to deliver a great service to Modus clients, and with so much industry experience he is also heavily involved in the training of new members of staff.
Helena started in her career in financial services in 2016 with Crosby Mortgage Solutions where she was a practice administrator helping process Mortgages, Protection and assisting in creating Estate Planning documents.
Helena’s goal is to become a fully qualified paraplanner within the business.
Vicky has spent her career working for blue-chip organisations including Bank of Scotland and Emirates, and prior to joining Modus she was a sales agent for an international estate agency franchise. Vicky uses her strong organisation skills to support John Price in delivering the very best service to clients. Outside of work Vicky enjoys spending time with her family and friends, travel and keeping fit in the gym.
Anna has had a wide-ranging career including working abroad as a nanny in Switzerland, running a pre-school and running her own infant clothing business. She continues to teach part time at a local pre-school and spends the rest of her time supporting Neil Ferguson as his Personal Assistant.
Anna likes gardening, interior design and socialising with family and friends.
